Have a Vintage Thanksgiving

I am so looking forward to an old-fashioned Thanksgiving this year.
Good food and family gathered round.
I'm tired of politics and bad news, just want some good memories.

Well, this is a picture of our new house in Mississippi.
We finally found a place we liked.

There's a palm tree in the front yard!

This is the back yard. NO FLOWERS!
You know I'll be busy planting roses and day lilies!
But the back yard has a chain-link fence for Wilma to stay in when she goes out to play!

We took Ms.Wilma down to the beach.

She was not impressed.
Would not go voluntarily to the water!

"I'm not going in that water!"

"Where is the car?"

I don't think I'll ever get too much of this.

This pic is from Pinterest, I don't know who to give credit.
But it is exactly the color of paint we used to paint the new living and dining room this weekend.
I'm sore all over!!

I'm still working till Dec.31, then retirement here I come.
We spend every weekend down there at the new house painting and having fun.
The only problem we've found is Wilma will not go from one room to the other.
She is afraid of something. It may be the floors.
She is used to carpet and there is hardwood there.

Pete said "they say dogs can see ghosts"
Oh great, now I'm scared!
I hope they're friendly ghosts!

I plan to cook Thanksgiving Dinner at the new place and Christmas too.
Getting exciting......

Lots of new books out right now.
Good reading.

I'm enjoying Charles Krauthammer's new book.

Have a great week!
Hugs, from me and Ms.Wilma

Vintage Cars

For you vintage car lovers out there (Tammy) we spent Saturday "Cruisin the Coast"
in Mississippi at the car show.

There were so many different cars and trucks to see, something for everyone.

This was one of the prettiest ones to me.

A real oldie.

Love the pink!

Very pretty

This truck was cool!

Chevy Nova! My husband bought my first car, 1972 Nova.
AM Radio, heater, 3 speed standard shift!~I thought I was somebody!
 Loved it~

We had plenty of sunshine, seafood, beaches, and fun this weekend.
Cruisin The Coast last all week every October and the cars run from Bay St. Louis  to Ocean Springs on Hwy 90
along the beach.

Good time was had by all.

 Have a great week,
Dorothy and Ms.Wilma

HALLOWEEN SPOOLIE SWAP

It's Spoolie Swap time again!!
Isn't this little crow perched on top of the spool adorable!!
And look at the little bat house all decorated!
Thank You, Judy at 20 North Ora, I love it!
And they are decorated with book pages, I love this, I brought them to work at the library to display for everybody to enjoy.

Look at the little bats flying around the birdhouse, TOO CUTE!
I always enjoy seeing everyone's different creative ideas, that's the most fun part of it to me!

She also sent this pretty Happy Halloween banner!

How festive is this?

Look at the cute cookie cutters Judy included!
I showed my husband and he said "why didn't I open them and whip him up some sugar cookies real quick with them"?  LOL

I enjoy these "Spoolie" swaps so much, I could do one for every holiday!

Here's a peak at the one I sent to Judy.

I do enjoy Halloween!

It's new book day at the Library.
So many to choose from, I'm going to miss this part of my job when I retire.

Especially since I do all of the ordering!

I'm reading about four different books right now, I confuse myself.....

THANK YOU JUDY FOR THE FUN SWAP!
I always get the best partners.

And THANK YOU, DEB, AT GARAGE SALE GAL for hosting!

Have a great week, everyone.

Pam's Giveaway!

Look what was waiting for me in the mailbox Friday.
I was blessed to win one of Pam's giveaway prizes from

She sent so many goodies, those hankies and crochet are gorgeous!
 Blogging friends are the best.

I plan to wear this pretty apron to cook my Thanksgiving dinner!
This is so pretty.

Little Ms. Nosy had to check everything out....

Now she wants an apron, too!!
What am I going to do with her?

We LOVE it!!

Y'all know she has a teeny, weenie (sorry about that) crush on Pam's fur-baby, Doyle!

The Pineapple Sage bush is really pretty in my yard this year, and it really does smell like pineapple.

The Confederate Roses are blooming as well, they literally change color during the day from white to pink.

We have lots of turnips and mustard greens growing in our fall garden this year.

Thank you Pam, for your sweet giveaway!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week,
hugs,
from Dorothy and Ms.Wilma

Vintage Dolls

There are some very pretty dolls for sale on eBay this week.

Home Perm, anyone?

This is my favorite, she looks dressed for the first day of school.

Sweet little Tiny Tears.

I have a bride doll like this one.
She's pretty tall.

And this is my doll of the week, little Ms.Wilma
styling in her new dress!

She's so rotten sweet.

                                                                        For me?

Huey P. Long got a new chewy bone.
No clothes for him, thank you very much!

He only wears New Orleans Saints shirts!

Have a great week,
Love from Dorothy and Ms.Wilma (and Huey)
