Vintage Baby Dolls

Good Monday morning. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and survived Black Friday.
I do not go, but my co-workers do, and they told some hair-raising stories this morning!

Y'all know I'd rather shop on eBay anyway.
The front door was missing on the doll house but I got a great deal.

My hubby is building shelves for the sewing room so I can put these dolls on display.
I told him that would be a wonderful Christmas gift!

Tiny Tears will look sweet rocking in this little chair.

Effanbee doll from the 1950's.

Bride doll from the 1950's.

Christmas candy boxes.

We visited with family and old friends over the holiday week-end.
My husbands high school buddy just had a liver and kidney transplant for which he was truly thankful.
Church was good yesterday morning.
I am thankful for all of God's many blessings.

Happy Holidays,
from my house to yours.

I'd love to see the inside of the baby dolls house!
Gratitude is what I feel every day, too; for small and big things. Your husband's buddy having had a successful operation is certainly one of the big things!
We don't have Black Friday in Germany, but I have read about it. I am sure I'd completely avoid it if it were held here!

I had a bride doll just like that one. In fact I saved up to buy her with my allowance. Each time I was in town, I would visit the Dime Store (Woolworth)and let her know that I was still saving my money, and that soon she could come home and live at my house. Isn't it funny the things we remember?
Have a wonderful week and thanks for sharing.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)

Having handy husbands is such a wonderful thing. I'm blessed too.

Hope that your friend recovers well from his surgery.

Love the new things.

Very cute house Dorothy, and now you can have all the fun of filling it. I had an extra dollhouse that I gave to one of the ladies that came for the recent luncheon, and she was so excited to start working on it.

Hugs,
Meri

The face on that Effanbee doll is beautiful. That house reminds me so much of a doll house I had growing up! We can never have too many shelves it seems :D

It's a good time to count our blessings. It sounds like you had a good weekend. And you know I love all of your fun dollie things. I want a doll house so bad...but then I'll want all of the goodies to go inside! But what fun it would be. Love your new dolls, too! Hugs!

I made a point not to do any shopping on what is now called "Black Friday."
I bet by next year the stores will be open even earlier on Thanksgiving day, it's a shame.

Oh, you have some fun things. I remember my grandmother had doll house furniture in the toy box in her basement that I used to play with...don't I wish we had hung onto that. My dad did build doll houses (huge) for each granddaughter on her 9th birthday...my daughter is 28 now and hers is still at my house. Every year I say I'm going to decorate it for the holidays. I need to do that in June!

Such darling little treasures. I love vintage toys! I have a collection. Mostly tin toys. I have a doll house but just a little vintage furniture. I bought some at Hobby Lobby but really need to find more vintage. Visiting from the Christmas countdown party.
Hugs,
Jann
