Gratitude

I'm grateful just to be alive,
grateful for my family, my friends, my church and my job.

Isn't this a lovely rosebush?
It's called "Bill Warriner".
It is in my Aunt Ruby's yard.
My husband likes it so much,
he asked me to order one like it.

This is my old standby rose, "Peace".
My husband has been rooting roses this month, I'll bet he's potted 50, at least.

January and February is the time to set out rose bushes, especially in February.
Jackson and Perkin and David Austin have some gorgeous free catalogs.

Time to plant fruit trees.
Spring will be here before we know it.

My oldest son turned 40 this past week.
I can't believe it!
He had the sweetest sugar!

My husband called me at work today and asked if there
was any reason for me leaving Wilma shut up in the
computer room this morning.

I told him she was in my bed asleep when I left.

But I know who came running in the door as I was leaving this morning!!
This is one wicked cat, I don't even want to know what happened after I left!
Huey P. Long is coming to stay a few days, I expect utter chaos when I get home this evening.

I'm still unable to upload new photos to blogger.
Hope they get it fixed soon, these are old pics.

Have a good week,
from Dorothy and Ms. Wilma

I hope you get your blogger issues worked out soon - I've been there and it's frustrating. 50 roses! These will make for a glorious addition to your garden :)

I have a wicked cat at my house too. I wish somebody would want him. He showed up and is disrupting life as we know it. Already had enough without him.

Miss Dorothy, I must tell you how much we loved visiting the Nat'l Rose Test Gardens in Portland when we lived there. Eight football fields of roses...heaven on earth and a view of Mt. Hood to boot. Maybe a trip in your future.

Oh gosh, that's my idea of Heaven, Tammy.

Gratitude is a feeling that seems to be dominating my life in the past years, so I can relate very well to your post, Dorothy!
As for spring being here before we know it - I wish it was so :-)
I'm afraid we have not had much wintery weather yet, it has been unusually mild for most of December, and I fear we'll have to "pay" for that later on this month and possibly all through February again, like last year.

I also had problems last weekend loading any pics from my desktop to my blog. The photo insert would not show "browse" so I could not get them from my desktop. I found a site that talked about problems that were going on with blogger and that was one of the problems they mentioned, saying it was not fixed yet. They said to go around the problem by going to Google Chrome. My husband set me up with Google Chrome and now I can add my pics from my desktop again. Hope this info will help you.
I think your roses are very beautiful.
