Vintage Finds

So many cute Valentines on eBay this week to choose from.

This little train Valentine is unusual. It reminds me of train trips we took to Indiana when I was a little girl, we could ride the passenger train free because Dad worked for the railroad! We loved to visit our cousins up North.

This was an Etsy find.

I have always collected these Victory Garden canning booklets. The methods are outdated, but there are still lots of good recipes in them and I love the graphics.

And you know I found one more lonesome baby doll on eBay this week.

It was reported that one or two little snowflakes fell outside this morning where we live. I long for snow, I don't know why. I guess because it happens so infrequently here.

Stay warm where ever you live and have a great week.

From beside the fireplace,
Dorothy and Ms. Wilma

I love vintage Valentines! I have a few old recipe books and booklets of my mom's. I also like the graphics in them - everything looks so wholesome :)

I know, I wish my pantry looked like that now. I used to can vegetables every summer when my kids were little and I was home. Sometimes I think I would come out ahead if I stayed home now...

Isn't it a bit early to already be thinking of Valentine's Day? ;-)
Plenty of snow here - it practically has not stopped snowing all day!

The canning books look like something I'd love to look through.

Don't you just love the sweet illustrations on vintage Valentines? I remember decorating Valentine boxes in elementary school and hoping to receive a cute card.

Your Valentines are sweet...and that dolly sure is adorable! I wanted to let you know I went to the post office to mail your package and I was 1 minute too late...I was so upset...I had yours and Elizabeths ready to ship. What really makes me mad is that they are closed monday...I promise I will have it in the mail Tuesday.
