Vintage Easter

Have you started your Easter shopping or sewing yet?

My dollies are wanting new dresses for Easter.

They admired this Shirley Temple plaid.

And look at these sweet babies in the vintage crib for sale on eBay!

Be still my heart.
She is from the same seller.

And here is a sweet dresser for dollies clothes.

Cute cards I couldn't resist.

These sweet things are available right now on eBay, but they are pricey.

Has anyone started their "Spoolies" yet for Sandy's Easter Swap?
I have some ideas.

I'll try to make some chicks!

Easter eye candy.

These spools were found at Stampington, on Pinterest. I don't know who made them.
Gorgeous wrapped in velvet ribbons.

I love Easter colors, pastels and violets.
I used to look for violets every Spring with my Grandmother.
I miss her very much.

Well, I have to go see about Ms.Wilma,
she's in a snit because I didn't find a new dress for her!
(You know it's all about her!)

Have a great week-end,
Love from me and you-know-who.

Pieces Of My Heart

Downton Abbey, you are breaking my heart.
I can't take many more nights like last night.
All those motherless and fatherless babies,
How could you?

She's going to outlive everyone on the show!

I can hardly wait till next season.

Valentine Mantel

Valentine's Day Mantel.
The bunnie and chick on the left were a gift-swap with Viv last Easter.

Valentine from the 1930's.
See Laura's little Wiener Dog peeking out on the left?

1950's Glitter Valentine

And a box of chocolates from my Valentine.

He cleans the house, plants a garden, takes care of my chickens, takes Ms.Wilma to the vet, grocery shops and cooks and has never forgotten a holiday or celebration.
He worked 32 years on the Railroad and fathered our four sons.
He has survived 3 heart attacks, 6 by-passes the last time, and still does all these things, and still takes me anywhere I want to go, anytime.

He's the best Valentine, ever.
Love,
from Dorothy

Vintage Betty's Valentine

When I got home from work this pretty red box was waiting for me to open!

Isn't this darling?
It came from sweet Laura @ http://thatissovintageohmy.blogspot.com/
I just love the little girl jumping rope, how many hours did I jump rope when I was a girl?

And look at all that sweet treasure inside!

This adorable Mother Hen clipboard is to hold recipes, which I will use in my kitchen!
Did you make this Laura, and if so, HOW?
I LOVE it!

Check out this fabric with hens on it.
This will go perfect with the green background print I already have.
Now I have no excuses not to make something, do I, Susie? :-)

I saved this for almost last.
This adorable pincushion she made with the dachshund on it!

It opens like a little book and came with heart pins!
My co-workers loved this.
We want to know, how did you get the dachshund printed onto the fabric?

And I saved this for last.

Inside the box, under the fabric, was this adorable portrait of Ms.Wilma
With my heart in her hands!!(paws)!
Of course, this was Ms.Wilma's favorite!
This will be hanging in my craft room for me and you-know-who to look at!

Thank you, Laura and your beautiful daughter, Michele
I've only known you a few weeks, yet you were so thoughtful with everything you sent!

Sweet Hugs,
Dorothy and Ms.Wilma
