Vintage Betty's Valentine

When I got home from work this pretty red box was waiting for me to open!

Isn't this darling?
It came from sweet Laura @ http://thatissovintageohmy.blogspot.com/
I just love the little girl jumping rope, how many hours did I jump rope when I was a girl?

And look at all that sweet treasure inside!

This adorable Mother Hen clipboard is to hold recipes, which I will use in my kitchen!
Did you make this Laura, and if so, HOW?
I LOVE it!

Check out this fabric with hens on it.
This will go perfect with the green background print I already have.
Now I have no excuses not to make something, do I, Susie? :-)

I saved this for almost last.
This adorable pincushion she made with the dachshund on it!

It opens like a little book and came with heart pins!
My co-workers loved this.
We want to know, how did you get the dachshund printed onto the fabric?

And I saved this for last.

Inside the box, under the fabric, was this adorable portrait of Ms.Wilma
With my heart in her hands!!(paws)!
Of course, this was Ms.Wilma's favorite!
This will be hanging in my craft room for me and you-know-who to look at!

Thank you, Laura and your beautiful daughter, Michele
I've only known you a few weeks, yet you were so thoughtful with everything you sent!

Sweet Hugs,
Dorothy and Ms.Wilma

Hi, I love all your treasures! I also want to know if the clipboard is hand made? Love the fabric too.

I'm almost 45 and I still spend some time skipping rope almost every day - especially at this time of the year, when it is too cold for me to go for a run :-)

Love the needle book and the heart-shaped box!

Hi Anna,
Laura said she used T-shirt transfer paper found at Wal-Mart for the transfers, even on the clipboard.

Thanks!

Librarian,
You are in good shape! I got on the floor the other day, laid down and tried to do the bicycle with my feet up in the air, but I couldn't get lift-off!

What a Neat neat Neat package. I think it's neat that the little dachshund holding the balloon heart is parallel to your Wilma's photo. In fact, so is the inside of the box across from your Hensrule Wilma button. Kinda neat, huh?
Lots of goodies. And, that clipboard is neat - cute picture of the mother hen.
You got quite a nice gift there! Thanks for sharing it!
Happy Pink Saturday! Jenn

Oh, you came by but my photos weren't visible? That's happened several times. I updated the post with individual photos at the bottom - if you do have time to stop by and see them, I think you'll enjoy them.
I went by Laura's blog to meet her too. I had to see who sent you that neat package. I'm curious how the clipboard was done too, or if it was purchased! And that pin cushion - I really like that. Thinkin' 'bout trying my hand at something like that... ???
Thanks, JEnn

Hello Dorothy,
I'm sorry I haven't had time to get back to you.....lil tommy is keeping us occupied...in a good way :) Everyone needs to check out the goodies you sent me! I used transfer teeshirt paper from Walmart for the projects. I recomend that you ask the craft store what kind of transfer paper is good for wood...because I did have a little trouble with that clipboard....This swap was really fun...and I learned alot ;)

That is amazing. What a wonderful package filled with so many goodies. I wanted to grab them through my screen. Thank you for stopping by my blog. Yes, the header picture of the flowers is mine. I took it at a garden in Germany a couple summers ago.

Oh my gosh! My heart is all a flutter!!! I mean that could be for me, too! I loved jumping rope, the hens are hands down, and the Doxie, etc!!!! Way to much cuteness. You have a beautiful Valentine from your partner. Now you know I will be waiting to see what you make? Hmmm, I really should start sewing again, too.
Blessings,
Susie
