Vintage Christmas in July Swap

I always get  THE BEST swap partners!
For Erica's Vintage Christmas in July I was partnered with
Maggie from Maine.
She is the sweetest lady,
and she sent me not one, but TWO tins full of goodies!

The little angel above with the star is from her own childhood-1940's,
I thought that was the kindest, most thoughtful of her to send treasures from her own past.

This little Putz house is from her own village from the 50's!
A beautiful Christmas pin to wear, Santa picks, and a cute little elf ornament, an old ornament from her collection, and more!

Beautiful vintage rick-rack from her hubby's great Aunt.
The Santa Boot fabric is in the background, she sent for quilting.
She and I both love to quilt.

This jolly Santa face was in the attic of the house when she moved in.
He looks like the Santa I remember from the 50's.

Beautiful old cards with sweet messages,  the envelopes and stamps still on them!

Another pretty tin with bits and bobs in it!

I love these little craft books!

Look at the beautiful hankie that still has the original Kresge tag on it!
Gorgeous!

More pretty embroidery for the tabletop.
I'm telling you, she went all out!

Y'all, in the bottom of the tin was this beauty, just waiting for me!
This beautiful Christmas apron from her own collection.

Thank you sweet Maggie, from the bottom of my heart!! :-)

And a thank you to Erica, too for being our host.

Happy Christmas in July,
from Dorothy and Ms.Wilma

This is a peek inside the tin I sent to Maggie.

Love the hanky and the Santa booty fabric! I doubt I would give away such a treasure from my own childhood... I am not a hoarder, but some things are just to dear to me to part with them.

Oh Dorothy, as if any vintage apron isn't great, a Christmas vintage apron is fabulous! She sent so many wonderful things, and from her own past too....kind of makes me teary eyed. Looks like the two of you were well matched generous swap partners. Eyeing that putz house too, and so many other cuties. Erica sure "throws" a great swap! :)

Ohhhh, such sweet Christmas items! Of course, I love the Christmas apron, but I'm really drooling over the Santa! Is it flat paper, or molded plastic?

I am so happy that Dorothy liked my tin of swap items. I have to say, that I was equally thrilled over her choices. I'm glad that she posted a photo of what she sent as I have had a problem with my camera. I have to say I was amazed how much Dorothy & I have in common and I think that we will become long time friends.
Thank you Erica for hosting this swap.
cheers
