Speckled Eggs

Oh what a beautiful day! Spring is just around the corner in our part of the country.

I went home for lunch to check up on Wilma since my husband is gone to the fish camp and she really didn't like me leaving her alone all day. So, I took her for a walk and we gathered the eggs from the henhouse.
Then we looked at the flowers and garden and picked a few azaleas.

The hens have really started to lay. They like this warmer weather.

So we put our flowers in some water and put them in the kitchen window.

Oh, I wanted to stay home and read and look out the window. Maybe sit out on the porch.

Fruit trees are in bloom. But, lunch hour is over, time to go back to work.

"I helped you gather eggs, WHY can't I go with you??"

Good day,
~~From me and Wilma~~

Your azaleas and eggs look so lovely together :) It sure is looking springy at your end! I'm sure Wilma appreciates you coming home mid-day and taking her for a walk.

How could you resist that appealing face? The azaleas are very pretty.

Remember those days well of coming home to let my Chihuahua Nikki out and on spring days having to fight my inclination to stay home and curl up with a good book rather than going back to work! Our peach tree is late but finally budding out with leaves and blooms, the past few weeks of warmer nights has everything gloriously green in our part of Texas too.

Loved reading your posts Dorothy. What a sweet face your doggy has. A true lap dog. Mine just don't know how big they really are. Excited to find a wonderful new read...just like a good book. Smiles...Renee

I love your pictures of your eggs. The flowers and basket are great. I don't have anything that resembles such pretty Spring weather here yet, so your pictures are really making me anxious!
I love Wilma. Such sweet eyes!
Blessings,
Susie

You eggs and azaleas in that basket... just beautiful.
And I really want to sit in that chair with the lovely quilt over it and sip a cup of hot tea and read a book. Then, I would put the book down and we could chat for hours!

Oh Lordy... Look at that face! I don't know if I'd be able to go home and then have to leave. I'd feel so guilty. LOL

Your pictures are just lovely, Dorothy. I'm so envious of your weather. We've had a few "teaser" days and then it gets cold again. At least it's supposed to be warmer today. (sigh) Spring can't come fast enough.

Hugs to Wilma and a Blessed Sunday to you! ~Mary

We do have lots in common, small world! Besides loving books and playing the piano, we have had chickens when the kids were young and Wilma looks like my Fritzi, when I was a wee one with my dog. Your photos are lovely. Following back. So nice to meet you!
