And The Award Goes To:

I've been honoured to receive the Kreativ Blogger Award from Pam at http://www.virginiaretro.blogspot.com/
Wasn't she sweet?

I love reading her blog and looking at her gorgeous collection of vintage tablecloths.
As a recipient, this award comes with responsibility.  I have to tell 7 things about
myself that other bloggers would find interesting.

Here goes:

1. I got married 40 years ago this June, wearing a beautiful white Mini-dress! (1972)

2. I majored in Elementary Education in college but much prefer being a Librarian than teaching. It's quieter! (Plus I'm bone lazy)

3. A house we once lived in built in 1906 has now been turned into a B&B. I would love to go back and spend one night there!  It's in New Augusta, Ms.

4. I once owned and operated a huge Poultry Farm in Mendenhall, Ms. I had 4-400ft. egg houses and during peak season, we gathered 27,000 eggs per day! I just about worked my fingers to the bone, and was so glad to sell it!!

5. I raised 4 beautiful boys in the backwoods of Mississippi and they all turned out wonderful, if I do say so myself. :)

6. Everywhere I have ever lived, I always left daffodil bulbs planted for future owners to love.

7. I've driven a tractor, bulldozer, gone wild turkey hunting by myself and killed and cleaned and cooked that turkey.(I never want to do THAT again!)  Milked a goat. Love to catch fish. Play the piano in church. Can't sing a note. Love music.

Well, that's more than 7 things, I get long-winded!

Now it's time for me to pass on the award to 7  bloggers I feel are deserving.
It was difficult to choose just 7, there are so many creative and fun blogs in blogland.

On that note, I pass the Kreativ Blogger award to:

Roseanna at after I finish this row- http://www.meli-melo-art.com/

Mary is probably an award free blog, but her recipes are so good and she is a hoot, so visit her if you get a chance.

Please take a minute to go and visit
these creative blogs!

Dorothy, I'm so glad to see you accepted the award! A poultry farm? I'm so impressed! But I think that killing, cleaning and cooking that turkey is a close second, LOL! Thanks, Pam

Dorothy, thank you so much for passing on the award to my blog. You certainly have led an interesting life! I am enamored of chickens and I would like to try my hand at getting some of those fresh eggs. On a smaller scale, of course, I am thinking 3-5 hens.
P.S. I am also an English mystery fiend!

Why, Dorothy, I am so impressed with your background! It is very interesting and sounds exciting and fun. I have 35 chickens and that is enough for me. Good for you for killing, cleaning, and cooking your wild turkey, wow! Happy 40th Anniversary! Would love to see that mini!
You are just too kind to honor me with this award! Give Wilma a big kiss from Bear and I, we just love your blog! Thank you so much.
Blessings,
Susie

You're welcome, Roseanna!I love your blog. And 3-5 hens are quite enough! I only have 5 right now and one old rooster. I'm glad you like English mysteries, too.

And don't look for me in that old mini-dress, but I do still have it!! :)

Dorothy you are so sweet to think of me, and you are an amazing woman. I loved reading your 7 things & I cannot imagine gathering 27,000 eggs in one day!! I think you have earned that #3 and you really must do that!

Loved this eclectic list :) A mini-wedding dress is so 70's. I am tired just reading about your poultry farm - can only imagine how much work it must have been processing all those eggs, feeding and cleaning up after that brood!

All my endeavers after that have always been compared (Beats chicken farming!) :)

Hi Dorothy. Thanks so much for nominating me for this award. I have been late taking it I know. It's not because I'm ungrateful but because of Family bereavement. Once again Congratulations on winning it yourself!! Joan
