Don't you just love fresh blueberries?
We do. I put 12 pints in the freezer.
They make such sweet pies!
And here are you some good books to read this weekend.
Love this latest from Jo Packham from Where Women Create.
I won this Herb Companion Magazine this week from Nancy at http://www.lemonverbenalady.blogspot.com/
And she's in it!! Her article is entitled 4 Reasons to Love Lemon Verbena.
Go and get this magazine if you haven't already! I plan to read it from cover to cover tonight.
It really is a beautiful magazine full of color photos of gardens and herbs and lots of useful information about growing herbs.
Thank you, Nancy.
Ms. Wilma had her yearly shots this week and she is still in a huff.
I have enjoyed all the celebrations going on in England this past week. I recorded everything I could on DVD so I could watch when I came home from work. Loved it, the Queen is still beautiful.
Have a good weekend,
from me and Ms. Wilma

I love blueberries. Give wilma hugs from me.
I agree, the Queen looks amazing. You're sure going to enjoy those blueberries :) I hope Wilma's feeling better.
I'm so glad you won it, Dorothy. Enjoy it!
Ok there is so much here! LOL
The pic of the blueberries in the cute blue swirl bowl reeled me in! Then, I'm a lover of books, but am in a real slump with my reading! What would be your TOP pick Dorothy? I need something new to read!
Also, I must get Jo Packham's book. I love WWC! And I need to organize my art area.
Thanks for the great post! :)
Erica
Oh, yes I love blueberries! You have a whole lot! Happy reading.

My BB's are loaded too.
Congrats on the win.
Have a happy weekend.
Hi Denise, I gave Wilma your hug. How is Coco this morning? I hope her surgery is over, and she is doing wonderful.
Love, from dorothy and wilma
Hi Jane, how are you?
Watching all that celebrating almost makes me wish we had a Monarchy over here! :)
Wilma's good, she just likes attention.
I love blueberries, and yours look wonderful!! Congrats on winning, so fun! Have a lovely day! xo Heather
Thanks Nancy,
I read it last night with a good cup of coffee! I did really enjoy it! I must plant more lemon verbena. I do have a pineapple sage plant that is doing good, i wonder if I could make tea with it?
Hi Erica,
EVERYBODY at the library is in a slump for something good to read right now! I've been reading old stuff, but if you are into love stories, "The Shoemaker's Wife" by Adrian Trigiani is very good. If you like mystery and suspense, go check out anything by Gillian Flynn, Karin Slaughter, Tana French or Lincoln Child. They are all good.
The popular writers are just turning out slush right now, poor writing!
If you missed The Book Thief or Sarah's Key, they were favorites of mine.
Dorothy
Thanks Susie,
wish I could send you some blueberries!!
Thanks Magie!
Hi Trace,
My fav was the book by Jo Packham, The Book of Organization from WWC.
I liked your blog post this morning with all the pretty jelly you made!
Hi Romona,
Are y'all getting any rain in Mississippi?
Our garden is about to burn up, my hubby is threatening to bushhog it down if it doesn't rain soon! Glad you are getting blueberries though!
Thanks, Heather. Have a good weekend.
Congrats Dorothy, Sounds like a great magazine! your blueberries look YUMMY1 We love blueberries and have a blueberry farm nearby where we pick them in July. Like you, I froze plenty of them for winter use. For a light, fun read, I love Mary Kay Andrews. She has a new book coming out next month, I think.
Thanks, Pam. Oh yes, Mary Kay Andrews is a very good writer, I just saw her new book in Forecast magazine. It's called Spring Fever. She is very popular here at the library, she's called the belle of beach reads! Thanks for reminding me! :)
Those blueberries look yummy. The last blueberries I had were of the frozen variety. Blech. I am craving some fresh ones.
The blueberries look wonderful! Then again, a stack of books to read is also pretty terrific; I have a few dotting the landscape here. It may be the best idea to pull one out this afternoon!
