Book Giveaway

Pink Saturday this week is about sharing front porches. I haven't decorated mine for Christmas yet, so I'm sharing old photos today.

This is my front porch when it snowed a few years ago.

My grandmother's front porch on the empty old log cabin where my dad grew up.
Like the coal miners daughter's song "Nothing lives here anymore except the memories"...

The porch of the library where I work.

Dothan on the front porch trying to reach the hummingbird feeders.

I'm having a giveaway!
I'm giving away two books to one lucky winner.
This Vintage Cake cookbook by Julie Richardson..

 .

And this sewing book, Pretty In Patchwork Holidays by John Q Adams.

All you have to do is follow my blog and leave a comment on this blog post.
Easy as pie!

Ms. Wilma and I will draw a name out of the hat next Saturday, December 8, 2012.

Good Luck,
Have a great weekend,
from my house to yours
Dorothy

Oh my stars and little hop toads! Daddy grew up just like Abe Lincoln! You look really good to have a Daddy raised up in a cabin in the pines! You must be about a hundred years old too, right? :) That was a really original idea for a post, love, love, love it.

I had a front porch on our last home and absolutely loved it. I sure miss it! Both books look wonderful, especially the Vintage Cake one - how very lovely. Please ask Ms. Wilma to think of me when she's drawing out a name, lol :)

I'm already a follower. I would love to win the books! Love the white kitty - he is so snowy. He looks way too good to get into the hummingbird feeder.

Such beautiful pictures - love the one of the library's front porch, and of course Dothan!
Here in Germany, not many people have porches, our houses are built quite different.
Can I be included in the drawing for the giveaway even though I live on a different continent?

Dothan looks like he's up to no good! heehee! So cute!

Hi Dorothy, I am a huge fan of the porch . . . front or back, screened or not. Our porch is my favorite room, when the weather permits.

These books are lovely. I am also planning a Give Away. Mine will start up around the time yours ends . . so come on over.
Have a wonderful weekend.

I finally got some lights up on the porch, and I say it looks so pretty! Your house is so lovely with all he snow! We have not had any here yet, so I would have to find an old picture too! The cabin is so neat, do you still have it in the family? I like the idea of pictures of porches, because the front porch is such a welcoming place. (Or it should be) Your little Dothan looks so sweet all white! i haven't had a white kitty in decades! Mine are tabby orange and a tortuous colored calico. You are having a nice give away, Thank you for being such a sweet person.
Blessings,
Susie
