Paperdolls

Anyone want to play paper dolls with me?

These are great for paper crafting.
Just copy to heavy card stock.

I found these on eBay and they arrived yesterday.

The little boys faces are cute.

Blogger keeps flipping these pics and I can't rotate them back,
but they can still be copied if you'd like.

They would be cute copied and clothes pinned to a banner.

Have a great day!

Say a quick prayer for Sandy's sweet Maya,
Hugs from me and Ms.Wilma

Rolling Store

Can you imagine only shopping from a "Rolling Store"?
The rolling store was the only means of shopping for my grandmother during the week
out in the country where she lived.

There is an excellent article about rolling stores at this site:

And they bartered for goods, usually a chicken or a bucket of homemade syrup exchanged for something she needed.

From Pinterest

Here is another store in "town" where my family lived when grandmother was young.

Sometimes, grandpa would take them to town, and my mother and her brothers would get to see the movies at this theater.

Mom and her brother Rufus

Later on, they all moved away to bigger cities, and life became more convenient in the 60's.

Uncle "Rufus" passed away last week,
gone on to heaven to be with grandmother and grandpa.
He will be missed by his five brothers and two sisters he left behind here on earth.

I don't know why, but life always seems like it was more fun, looking backwards.

On another note,
My friend Jane from Jane's Jewels blog is leaving blogging.
I will miss her sense of humor, her beautiful photography and her wonderful personality very much.

Keep on the sunny side,
Dorothy and Ms.Wilma

It's an Easter Spoolie Swap!

And wasn't it fun!
This is Sandy's Spoolie to me,
and I love it.
Doesn't this say "Spring"!

Ms. Wilma says "adorable"

Beautiful Easter cards to send to friends.

Inside this cute tin was a pretty table scarf and more goodies!

See the pretty tulips and the scalloped edge.

Chicks and Bling....We like bling!!

CANDY!!!

So many pretty gifts to brighten my day.
Thank you, Sandy, for everything, and thank you for hosting this wonderful swap!

I wish we had a picture of all the "Spoolies" in a row to showcase each artists' own unique interpretation of the Easter Spoolie, that would be fun to see!

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday,
Hugs from me and Ms.Wilma

Golden Egg Vintage

Aren't blogging buddies the best?
Look at the pretty things Erica sent to me.

Now I know where Erica got her blog name!
From a sweet book her grandmother read to her as a child.

Vintage bunny egg, so cute.
She always finds the best stuff.
And, she has a great Etsy shop, too, but you'd better look often, her things go fast!

Cute vintage cupcake toppers and bunnies.
She sent candy too, but I ate it first thing....

I may put this vintage hankie in my purse for church.
I feel blessed to have such good blogging friends.
Thank you, Erica for being so special.

Spring colors are beginning to show up everywhere.

We planted a rose bush like this one, hope ours does this well.

I love the scent of wisteria.

Have a wonderful Wednesday,
from me and Ms.Wilma
