Hi blogging friends,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween~

I had fun bringing out old decorations and making some new ones.

You know I love finding dolls.
I found a few on these on a trip to New Orleans yesterday,
the rest from estate sales.

Shirley Temple was my favorite find this month!

I have lots more pictures to share,
next time.

Meanwhile,
it's time to bring out the Thanksgiving and Fall
decorations.

Have a great week,
Blessings,

Welcome Fall

Aren't you glad it's getting cooler?
I sure am. It's been way too hot this summer where we live.

I'm seeing pretty colors in the yard, and there's a cool breeze blowing in off the ocean.

We went to the Shrimp Festival and saw the 250 foot long Po-Boy.
Ate some good shrimp too!

I found some fun mail in my mailbox this week.
Look what Susan Pink-Wickett from

sent to me!
A box full of dolls and doll clothes!

AND she sent these!!
Salt and Pepper Dachshunds!
Are they not the cutest?

What a sweetheart Sue is!
Blogging friends are the best~

And somebody had a birthday this past week!
BamBam turned two years old on September 28.
He had such a good time, he was all for a party!

Dino was like "You're kidding, right?"

Wilma said not to even think about putting that hat on her head...
wait....IS THAT CHEESE?

Enjoy your Fall weather,
love from,
Dorothy

Blogging Blues

How hot has it been at your house?

It has been one HOT summer down in the deep South.

I can barely stand to go outside, although I have been thrifting and to a few Estate sales this summer.

I really loved these little frozen Charlottes I found at the thrift store.

I've been on a doll clothes binge too.
There are so many on eBay, I can hardly resist.

The ad for these doll clothes said they were from the 1920-30's.
I fell in love with the flour sack prints and the embroidery.

Do you like the little decals I put on my little dolly scales?

I have lots more pictures to show you next time around.

I can't seem to keep up with my email and blog lately.
I get a quick fix from facebook in the morning then just
tend to read the rest of the day.

Stay cool and have a great week-end!

xoxo,

Good Monday Morning
Blogging Friends

It's such a pretty day,
it's hard to stay inside.

But, it's Monday
and it's wash day...

Sometimes, I wish I still had a clothesline.
Not all the time, mind you.
Just for the sheets and such.

Sometimes, does your hubby do something that just
drives you up the wall?

Mine said he was going to mow the lawn this morning.

He came back inside and asked me to come tell him how much
to cut back this tall palm tree in the front yard.
Just the dead fronds, I tell him.
(Is that what you call those limbs on a palm tree?)

And then I happen to look over,
and bless Pat, he has cut my Sago palms back,
just butchered them!
They were so lush and green!
What! Why, I ask?

They poked him when he mowed the grass, he says.....
arggghhhhhhh!!

I just come back inside, and continue on.
They'll grow back next year, I guess....

My little row of tomatoes and peppers and cukes
are really growing.
Can't wait to taste that first fresh tomato.

We did go to the fresh fruit market yesterday
and found lots of goodies.

I do love this time of year.

BamBam is watching a John Wayne movie.
Ms.Wilma told him he had to babysit.

I'd better go check on her,
no telling what's she's up to!

Have a great week,
Love,
