Welcome Fall

Aren't you glad it's getting cooler?
I sure am. It's been way too hot this summer where we live.

I'm seeing pretty colors in the yard, and there's a cool breeze blowing in off the ocean.

We went to the Shrimp Festival and saw the 250 foot long Po-Boy.
Ate some good shrimp too!

I found some fun mail in my mailbox this week.
Look what Susan Pink-Wickett from

sent to me!
A box full of dolls and doll clothes!

AND she sent these!!
Salt and Pepper Dachshunds!
Are they not the cutest?

What a sweetheart Sue is!
Blogging friends are the best~

And somebody had a birthday this past week!
BamBam turned two years old on September 28.
He had such a good time, he was all for a party!

Dino was like "You're kidding, right?"

Wilma said not to even think about putting that hat on her head...
wait....IS THAT CHEESE?

Enjoy your Fall weather,
love from,
Dorothy

and Dino

Oh goodness, my hubby could eat 2 or 3 feet of that sandwich by himself!

Great gifts from your friend.

Love those doxies! Too cute.

All your pictures are lovely and certainly symbolic of perhaps my favorite time of year. Happy autumn!

That is a lot of eating. I have never cared for that food. My niece, Coloradolady, the name of her blog, have three or four doggies like yours. She treats like children.

While I do love autumn which its wonderful abundance of colour and fruit, nuts, chestnuts and so on, I am not too happy about the cold... I already need a scarf and coat in the mornings on my way to work, no skipping about in sleeveless summer dresses for many months to come...!

While I do not think animals have a grasp of what a birthday is, they sure know when they are treated extra special :-)

Love the old "Barbies" (I know they are not Barbies, but you know the ones I mean).

Oh how cute is that! Dorothy, you must have magical powers to get them to pose like that. :) That poor boy liiks amazing. Did all the folks standing there get to eat it? Oh I love a poor boy sandwich. Had my first one after we moved to Virginia, and it was a shrimp po-boy, yummy!

Glad your weather will be cooling off, ours too finally. It was one miserable summer as far as the heat.

Hugs, Pam (& Doyle said to send kisses, especially to Wilma.)

Gorgeous fall color in your yard Dorothy! Oh yum! I would love to go to a shrimp festival. Hubby and I attended a crawdad festival when we were in OR. First time I had eaten them. Not bad, but I prefer shrimp! The dogs are too cute and Happy Birthday to Bam Bam! Sue certainly is a great friend!
hugs,
Jann
