Fresh Market

Tomatoes and Peppers and Squash, Oh my!

How is your garden growing?

We're blessed with squash right now!

Cone flowers are in full bloom.

So much color. It's fun to step out your back door for fresh food and flowers.

Be sure to take a break and read a good book this week-end!

Stephen King, Mary Alice Monroe, Charlaine Harris

You can't go wrong with oldies but goodies.

I downloaded this one on my Kindle. Recommended by my friend, Cathy @ www.kittlingbooks.com

I really want to spend some time in my craft room this week-end.

My Grandmother Nellie Dee's sewing machine still sews.

Ms Wilma says "what have you got planned this week-end?"

What ever I do, she'll be right by my side, little nosey!

And whatever you do, we wish you JOY.
from me and Ms. Wilma

Dorothy we are blessed with summer squash too, also bell peppers, green tomatoes and soon okra and ears of sweet corn.

Beautiful sewing machine, love those antiques that are still work horses!

Man, squash....our squash is only 4 inches tall!

Our tomatoes were wild, so we stuck them this weekend.

The hubby grew up truck farming and they never tied them up.

I made him do it so he could keep the grass tilled out of the garden.

Tying those tomatoes is a job, my husband did it all this year! I just pick and put up! My husband truck farmed some growing up, too, that is hard work.

Ms. Wilma is a cutie! I love reading Charlaine Harris, too, and have her latest on hold at the library! Can't wait for my turn to read her book. : )

Ms Wilma says thank you, she is a little spoiled! Charlaine Harris is popular in our library, too. I like her Amelia Peabody series.

Hi Dorthy, Oh I am counting the days when we will have fresh veggies from the garden. It will be a while yet. Things are growing and my gardens are greeting me with more beautiful blooms daily. My Cone flowers are not blooming yet, but my Peonies, Poppies, and Iris are flourishing. Ms.Wilma is a cutie. We have a family wedding this weekend and of course will be visiting the grave sites of beloved family. Have a wonderful holiday and thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.
Hugs,
Jann
