I love Pie in the Sky! I also have every episode and I cannot tell you how many times I have watch it while working in the studio. I adore Henry, his cooking and what a great name for a restaurant. Perfect for a rainy afternoon.

I've never heard of this but it does look 'delectable'! Have reserved the first disc at ZIP.ca to give it a try. Thanks for the tip!

Hello Dorothy, I just popped over from HenHouse's blog. I love Pie In the Sky, and a whole RAFT of English Detective stories, form very old-fashioned Marjorie Allingham. Dorothy Sayers, Agatha Christie (especially her Miss Marple), Reginald Hill (more recent, just wonderful dialogue) and many, many more.

When I am sewing I have a lot of them on audio-cds too!

I thoroughly endorse what you have written in you introduction, we have a houseful of books (if you check out my blog you will see my post about books. ) and I LOVE to see children read. When I was a visiting childrens' nurse nothing saddened me more than being in a home without books. (Well ok that's not true. There were some awful things which saddened me, but you catch my drift!)
You have a pretty bolg, I shall take my time reading your archive! Bye for now from across the pond! Lx.

Haven't seen this one, but I adore British shows and anything with a name and description like that, sounds as though it would be right up my alley. ;~) I also love Richard Griffiths, so I'll have to get/rent the series. Thanks for the tip, Dorothy!

Hi Dorothy, thanks for the sweet comment over at my blog and let me tell you that you and I have some very similar tastes. 1) I LOVE your profile pic- great old Family Circle cover! 2) I love that you referenced Colossal Man in your comment on my blog- we love old sci fi movies like that! and 3) I LOVE British Mysteries. Now I dont know this one, which means I must need to look for it at my library, but I DO love so many more, everything from Miss Marple and Poirot to Cadfael, Touch of Frost, Midsommer Murders, you name it!

Thanks for the suggestion of this one, Im writing it down to check it out. Blessings!

Well, this sure sounds like it has all the right elements! I should see if I can reserve it at our local library. Have a Happy Mothers Day!
